Family bathroom renovation

Two little ones. One bathroom designed for everyone.

With two very young children at home, the family needed more than a visual update. They wanted bath time, busy mornings and everyday cleanup to feel easier—without giving up a room with character.

The project story

Natural light was the starting point. Daily life set the brief.

The skylight and generous room already offered real potential. But one small vanity, an enclosed shower and dated finishes did not support the shared routine the family wanted. The renovation brought the room together around more useful storage, two sinks and clearly defined bath and shower zones.

01 · Before

A bright room that was difficult to share.

Natural light was already a strength, but the single vanity and enclosed shower made the room less practical for a growing family. The opportunity was to keep that sense of space while giving each daily task a clearer place.

02 · In progress

The pattern arrived before the room was finished.

With the patterned floor in place, wall preparation continued around the bath and shower zones. This honest midpoint shows how the room’s character began to emerge while the wet areas and recessed niches were still taking shape.

Character, carried through the whole room.

The patterned floor gives the room its rhythm. Soft sage tile, warm wood and brass-toned fixtures bring calm around it, while the double vanity adds the shared counter space and storage the family needed.

The result

Two sinks. Two bathing zones. One calmer routine.

The floating double vanity gives two people room to get ready and keeps everyday storage close at hand. A bathtub beneath the skylight supports family bath time, while the separate shower—with a rain head, hand shower and two recessed niches—has its own practical, composed zone.
